Privacy policy

Automated Texts ("the app", "we") is operated by Brandon Zemke. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what choices you have. Contact: brandonzemke.pinnacle@gmail.com.
Information the app handles
From your Google account
- Sign-in information: your name, email address and a unique account ID, provided by Google when you sign in. We use these to identify your account and show your email on screen.
- Google Calendar access: if you allow it, the app can create and edit events on your Google Calendar (the permission called "calendar.events"). It uses this to add the appointments you book in the app, and to update or mark as cancelled the same events when you reschedule or cancel. It also reads the start time, end time and free/busy status of your upcoming events (about the next three weeks) so the app can hide times when you are already busy. It does not request event titles, descriptions or guest lists, it keeps this information only in your browser while the page is open, and it does not store it in our database. The app does not change your other calendar events.
Information you enter
- Leads and appointments: names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, notes and appointment times that you import or type in.
- Settings: your name, business name, available hours and message templates.
- Business card picture: if you upload one.
How the information is used
- To show your leads and appointments back to you, to write text messages for you to send, and to add appointments to your own Google Calendar.
- We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with anyone else, except the service providers that run the app (see below) or when the law requires it.
- The app does not send text messages. It prepares the text and you send it from your own phone.
Google user data
The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used only to provide the appointment and availability features described above. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, and it is not used to train AI models. No person reads your calendar data, except as needed for security, to follow the law, or with your permission.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Your leads, appointments, settings and business card picture are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Hosting), which processes data on our behalf. Security rules allow each signed-in person to read and write only their own data; other users of the app cannot see it. The person who operates the app has administrative access to the database and could technically view stored data. We do not look at it except to keep the app running, fix a problem you ask us to fix, or follow the law.
The Google Calendar access token stays in your browser for about an hour and is not stored in our database.
Customer information you add
Leads you import are information about other people, such as your customers. You are responsible for having the right to hold and contact them, and for following the rules that apply to your business and to texting, including any consent and quiet-hours rules.
Keeping and deleting your information
- Your information stays in the app until you delete it. You can delete cancelled appointments and remove your business card inside the app.
- To have your account's data deleted, email us at the address above from the Google account you used. We will delete it within a reasonable time.
- You can withdraw calendar access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Events already on your calendar stay there until you delete them.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored by Google Firebase. No online service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
The app is for businesses and is not meant for people under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will tell signed-in users before it takes effect.
